Home Theater Decorating
When I was young back in the 60’s, when my friends and I went to see a movie at a theater we could go with about $5.00 in our pocket. For that $5.00 we would pay for admission to a double feature, be able buy a box of popcorn, soda, candy and an ice cream bar. Today that same $5.00 wouldn’t get you admission to the early matinee at your local movie theater. Taking the family to the movie’s today can be a very expensive adventure, you could drop $40 or $50 very easily. That’s why having a home theater is becoming more and more popular for people who enjoy watching movies. The initial setup can be a little pricey but you can pay for it quickly by not going to the movie theater and waiting for it to come out on dvd and watching it on your own home theater.
The nice part about setting up a theater in your home is that you can either build a high end system or if your on a budget you can put together a nice system very inexpensively.
You can pick up a lot of tips from home theater magazines. They will have articles on design, products, seating and how to wire your components together. This will help you not make a mistake and purchase some inferior product.

A simple home theater is easy to set up. All you need is a 27” television, dvd player and 3 speakers. These are basic components of a home theater. Now you could also look into purchasing a 65” plazma or LCD television, a blu-ray dvd player and a Bose speaker system now that could make your movie watching experience outstanding.
But if you have the space and the money you might want to look at building a theater in your basement. There you could install a HD projector with a high end amplifier with at least 6 speakers and a subwoofer. You could also add theater seats and a curtain for your screen and top it off with a cool movie theater popcorn machine.
A well designed home theater system will be beneficial for anyone who needs to relax after a long day of work. The surround sound will help you forget you are inside your own living room and not in a movie theater.
